Susan Lucci Loved Reuniting With Former ALL MY CHILDREN Castmate Francesca James

Tags:

It was a mini ALL MY CHILDREN reunion when Susan Lucci caught up with former co-star Francesa James! “So great to meet the incredibly talented Francesca James for lunch today at Freds at Barneys,” she shared on Instagram. “Loved to hear about all she’s doing with her Transport Theater Company — Tennessee Williams’ ‘Summer and Smoke!’ Can’t wait to see it!”

Lucci is legendary for her decades of playing Erica Kane on the much-missed daytime soap, and James actually played both Kitty Shea as well as her twin sister, Kelly Cole. (After she left the soap, Kitty was killed off, so AMC creator Agnes Nixon created a new character for her to play.) And when AMC returned for its short-lived online reboot in 2013, she played a third character, Evelyn Johnson!

When James left AMC the second time in 1980, she pursued a career behind the scenes, directing at AMC and LOVING. After moving to Los Angeles, she became a producer, working on GENERAL HOSPITAL, SANTA BARBARA, and DAYS OF OUR LIVES. In the ‘90s, James returned to New York where she joined the production team of AMC. She is now on the board of directors for the Transport Group Theater Company

Lucci and James crossed paths multiple times over the years in different roles, so it’s great to see them back together again! Keep scrolling down to take a look at some vintage pics from the AMC archives below of their past adventures in daytime!
