Did You Vote For Rademacher As Prom King?

Tags:

Ingo Rademacher (Jax, GENERAL HOSPITAL) performed a paso doble with partner Kym Johnson on “prom week” on DANCING WITH THE STARS last night, and was very disappointed to receive only 21 points from the judges. “It was too low,” he told Soaps In Depth after the show.

But of course, the actor hopes he can rely on the soap fans to vote for him and keep him in the competition. “With the GH 50th [anniversary], Twitter is going crazy right now and we are trending,” he said. “I’m prom king and I know that’s due to the fans out there. Because the GH fans, when they want something, they are going to vote like crazy!”

Rademacher admits that the wardrobe malfunction during their dance threw him off his game. “Kym keeps saying that I am hard on myself, and I am,” he admitted. “I want to do much better. The beats weren’t there because I was supposed to rip the dress off, the second one was throwing it, and I had a double rip at it. So that really took the wind out of my sails at the beginning of that dance, and I think we could’ve gotten an eight or maybe even two eights if I hadn’t screwed that up at the start.”

Despite all the difficulties, Rademacher remains happy that he finally agreed to the challenge of being on DANCING. “When they asked me to do the show over the years, I said no,” he revealed. “One of the reasons was it was it’s scary and I didn’t want to get out of my comfort zone. So this time when it came around, my wife said, ‘You have to do it this time.’

Plus, all the training and dancing is getting him in shape for a 32-mile paddle board race he’s doing at the end of July! “This is actually helping,” Rademacher said. “It’s an unbelievable workout and it’s a new thing. It’s something that gets me out of my comfort zone, and believe me, there are days I don’t want to do this!”

Did your votes help push his score up high enough to keep him dancing for another week? Find out in tonight’s results show, airing at 9:00 pm EST on ABC!
