GH’s Cynthia Preston Reveals Her Exciting New Movie Role
Faith Roscoe met a violent end on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but portrayer Cynthia Preston is still going strong! The actress has shared some photos from backstage at her new Hallmark movie, Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver, where she will be appearing alongside ALL MY CHILDREN alum Lacey Chabert (Bianca) and actor Brennan Elliott. The cast also includes ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Barbara Niven (Liz). “What a pleasure to work with Barbara again,” Preston said, “and Lacey for the first time.” (Preston and Niven had previously appeared together in 2008’s Dead at 17.
Preston will be playing Julia Marquez in the upcoming mystery, although there are no details available regarding the plot yet as it has only just gone into production. Abracadaver will be the third in the Crossword Mysteries movie series; the first, A Puzzle to Die For, premieres Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. In it, Chabert plays Tess, a crossword puzzle editor who teams up with Elliott’s police detective, Logan, to solve murders.
Since leaving daytime, Preston has worked steadily appearing in primetime series like JACK RYAN and HANNIBAL as well as films like Carrie, The Secret Sex Life of a Single Mom, and Stalked by a Reality Star. Once they finish filming Abracadaver and Hallmark announces a release date, we’ll be sure to let you know so you can tune in to watch!
