GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Emmy Rylan Shares Family Secrets — and Her First Love!
When we caught up with GENERAL HOSPITAL‘s Emme Rylan to talk Lulu, love and marriage at 8 in the morning, the busy mom seemed pretty chipper — because Jackson, 6, and Levi, 4, got her going bright and early!

“They’ve been waking me at 5:30, lately,” she groans. “And I never adjust to the schedule. At GUIDING LIGHT, I was always first up [to tape my scenes] and last up, so I would work so late and then get up so early. After four years, you’d think I would have become this amazing morning person. But it absolutely never happened.”
Luckily her kids are snuggly and adorable in the morning. “That’s what keeps you from killing them,” quips Rylan, who opens up about the life she’s built with their father, Don Money, in the current ABC issue of Soaps In Depth.
In the new feature, Rylan also opens up about her first love — dancing. She still kicks up her heels daily, but chose acting as a career for the sake of her body! “If I was dancing professionally, I’d be dancing six hours a day,” she explains. “There have been years where I’ve done that, but I would have been doing that since I was 18! Right now, I dance two hours a day and if my knee or ankle gets funky, I can stop for a few days. During a show you can’t. Dancing is just really, really rough on your body. I always tell Don, ‘Dude, I am so much tougher than you!’”
