GENERAL HOSPITAL Star Maurice Benard to Appear on CASTLE

Maurice Benard (Sonny, GENERAL HOSPITAL) revealed today that he’s going to be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of one of ABC’s biggest primetime series!

“On my way to film CASTLE,” he wrote to accompany a photo he took of a poster for the primetime series hanging outside the studio. “Love the show — excited to do something different.”

While details regarding Benard’s role and when the episode will air have not yet been released, GH fans can take heart that Sonny isn’t going anywhere. Sources tell Soaps In Depth that Benard was given the time off to do the primetime show, and he wasn’t shy about expressing his gratitude to the soap’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, for making the shooting schedules work together.
