Is Michelle Stafford Pregnant?

Nina’s desire to have a baby on GENERAL HOSPITAL was one that her portrayer, actress Michelle Stafford, could relate to. And now she has a beautiful family made up of eight-year-old daughter Natalia Scout Lee and two-year-old son, Jameson Jones Lee. Of course, getting to this point wasn’t easy. “A little over six years ago I decided to adopt a child,” Stafford confided in a blog post written a few years after Natalia’s birth. “It didn’t go so smoothly for me, so then I decided to just do it myself. I mean, how hard could it be to get pregnant? Three IVF attempts and three surgeries later, my body was spent. I was exhausted. And by that point, my personality sucked.

“Finally, after what I call a ‘three and a half year journey through hell’, I finally welcomed my amazing, healthy, biological daughter into the world via surrogate!” she continued. “How lucky was I that she was beautiful, calm, and healthy?”

Six years after Natalia’s birth, Stafford welcomed Jameson into the family again, via surrogate, and the duo became a trio. And while she admitted that being a single parent can be challenging, the love that they all share as a family makes it all worth it in the end.

On GH, Nina was devastated to learn that she could no longer have a child, and even went so far as to abduct Ava’s daughter, Avery, shortly after the infant was born! But after marrying Valentin, Nina cared for his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine, as though she were her own. And that seems to be enough for her now. Although she has gotten very involved in Maxie’s pregnancy, leading Stafford to joke that Nina was going to steal Maxie’s baby! Thankfully, Nina’s baby-snatching days seem to be behind her now!
