GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Parry Shen Reveals Details Of New Movie ‘Swing State’

Tags:

Parry Shen (Brad, GENERAL HOSPITAL) has shared with Soaps In Depth some details of his new movie, Swing State!

The film is a political comedy about a liberal disc jockey who creates a super right-wing personality to host a conservative radio talk show. Unfortunately, the show becomes enormously popular, trapping him in this role that is the opposite of who he really is.

“I play Ryan Pollard,” Shen reveals, “an executive of All Channel, the media company that owns the show, who is excited to take the show national with his latest star.”

The independent feature is written and directed by Jonathan Sheldon, and features a huge ensemble cast of stars like Billy Zane, Taryn Manning and Sean Astin.

“So far, it’s only been a few days on the film,” Shen reports. “But it’s exciting getting to work with several actors whose work I’ve come to admire over the years, like Ted Levine and Billy Zane.

“My daughters were especially exited to learn that Karina Smirnoff was playing my wife,” he adds, “as they have just gotten into DANCING WITH THE STARS!”
