GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Ryan Paevey and Kathleen Gati Reunite — See the Fun Pics!
A mother and son from Port Charles were reunited in Canada, of all places, when GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan) and Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) randomly encountered each other in a hotel! “Look who I ran into in Vancouver?” Gati cheered on Instagram with a photo of her giving her former castmate a big squeeze. “My son! #So Happy”
Paevey shared a more posed version of the same photo, also thrilled to see the actress who played his GH mom for years. “Up in Van and guess who’s staying in the same hotel!” he posted. “Obviously, we immediately went to the bar to get dinner. #fortituouswanderings #sweetnostalgia #totallymademyday #happyface”
This isn’t the first time Paevey has run into a former co-star since leaving GH. Back in February, he was thrilled to encounter Finola Hughes (Anna) and Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) at an audition. But while staying in Vancouver filming his new movie, Marrying Mr. Darcy, running into Gati was an extra-special treat.
Paevey had an emotional exit from GH back in February when his character was tragically killed off, and Gati expressed her love for her talented TV son. “I wish you all the success in the world and I think you for being such a wonderful colleague and kind person these past three-and-a-half years,” she tweeted in February. “Being your ‘mom’ has been a blessing!” Paevey replied simply: “I miss you already.”
It’s so great that fate keeps throwing Paevey back together with his former GH castmates, and hopefully, one day fate will also bring him back to the soap as Nathan — even if only as a ghost!
