GH Friday Recap: DNA Proves Denise Is Not Ava!

_The clock was ticking and it looked as if Ava’s ruse was about to be found out. That is, IF Denise was, indeed, Ava! _

Sonny, Dante, Morgan, Kiki, Alexis and Julian were gathered around Denise in the PCPD, anxiously awaiting the DNA results that they were certain would prove she was just Ava in disguise. Lucas opened the envelope and looked over its contents. “According to this test, this woman is not Ava Jerome,” he announced. There were marker similarities, but it wasn’t a perfect match, meaning, she was within Ava’s immediate family. Everyone was stunned, and Julian wondered how that was even possible. With that, a gravely voice said, “I think I can clear all of this up.” They all turned as Delia stepped into their circle!

Maxie and Nathan were asleep in bed when they were awoken by a whistle. They both jumped and saw that Franco was sitting nearby, staring at them, filing his nails! Nathan muscled him against the wall and demanded to know why he broke into his room. Franco was sure to get in the little tidbit that he and Maxie had once slept together, which she was quick to explain. Franco finally told them of Nina’s marriage to Ric and his certainty that he was after her money. He told Ric wanted to be custodian of Nina’s finances now that they were married and begged Nathan to help enlighten his sister. Nathan agreed to look into it.

Meanwhile, Nina thought long and hard about Franco telling her of Ric’s motive for marrying her that had absolutely nothing to do with love. Olivia interrupted Nina’s train of thought and said that her and Franco were done extorting her. Without missing a beat, Olivia booted her out of the hotel! Ric’s timing couldn’t have been more perfect. He saved Nina’s skin by telling Olivia that he and Nina were married and her outstanding bill could be transferred to him. That opened a dialogue between the new mister and missus about money, which raised Nina’s suspicions about him even further. Shortly thereafter, Ric paid a visit to his partner in crime at Pentonville… Madeline!

Michael filled in Rosalie about how the Quartermaines were dangerously close to losing the majority of ELQ stockholdings, and the only way to stop the speeding train was to convince Franco to sell the shares back to the company. That’s where he wanted Rosalie to step in. He thought that maybe her history with Nina could help the process along. What Michael didn’t know was that Rosalie was also working for Nikolas, the man who was determined to take over ELQ!

Sloane told Anna that Mayor Lomax fired him, but he wasn’t going to take it lying down! He had evidence that the mayoral election was rigged and that Felicia was rightfully voted into office. Anna pointed out that Sloane couldn’t bring down Lomax without incriminating himself. Besides, it was his word against Lomax’s. Not so, Sloane corrected her. Nikolas Cassadine was also involved!
