GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Chad Brannon Stars in ‘Blood From a Stone’

Chad Brannon (ex-Zander) portrayed plenty of family drama during his stint on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and he’s diving in again headfirst with his starring role in a new production of the play, Blood From a Stone!

The Emmy winner plays Travis in the dark comedy, a role that earned Ethan Hawke an Obie Award during the show’s Off-Broadway run. “It’s an incredible opportunity, and it’s an incredible play,” he tells Soaps In Depth. “It’s dark and violent and kind of a crazy situation that this family goes through.”

Having escaped his family and gone to live in New York City, Travis finds himself inexorably drawn back into their chaos. “There’s so much drama in my family that there’s a lot of things that I’m never really willing to get to the bottom of,” Brannon says in character. “And this play really is the height of being forced to do that — Really forced to come to terms with who I am in the midst of this family.”

Luckily, Travis isn’t completely alone in the midst of all this angst. “My love interest in the play, Yvette, is played by Jossara Jinaro (Rae, PASSIONS),” he reports. “She’s a fantastic actress.”

Blood From a Stone will be running at the Electric Lodge Theater in Venice, CA from Thursday, May 5, through Sunday, May 22. Click here for more details and to purchase tickets.
