Donnell Turner (Curtis, GENERAL HOSPITAL) tries to stay as cool and even-keeled as his character, but the martial arts expert also lives for a good fight!
“I’ve done 30 years of kickboxing and martial arts, including training in Thailand,” explains Turner. “Martial arts is a lifelong practice. And I'm one of those guys where if I can't wrap my brain around it, you’ve pretty much lost me, so as a kid, I read Bruce Lee and got even more into it.
“I knew it was something I would never stray far from,” he continues. “Do I do it every night? No. But there are ways to practice your craft on your own, whether it be in the form of kata or technique on a heavy bag. I don't engage in combat like I used to, but if I were not TV, I’d be at a gym, rolling around kicking someone's butt. I just love that!”
