Get the GENERAL HOSPITAL New Year’s Schedule — Don’t Miss an Episode!
Preemptions can get extra confusing for soap fans, especially when they’re unexpected. Thankfully, holiday scheduling can be planned in advance, and ABC’s Manager, Current Programming, Nathan Varni, wants to make sure GENERAL HOSPITAL fans know when their favorite show will be on so they don’t miss a single episode!

After a presidential speech preempted GH on Dec. 16, the network caught up by airing a new episode on Dec. 23 when they had originally planned to air an encore episode of the soap the day before Christmas Eve. However, there weren’t any unplanned interruptions this time around, so the New Year’s weekend is proceeding as planned.
“Happy holidays!” Varni tweeted. “New GH on Dec. 28 and 29, encore on Dec. 30. Football game on Jan. 2. New GH then resumes Jan 3. Happy New Year!”

The encore that GH will be airing on Friday, Dec. 30, will be the episode from Nov. 14 of this year where Morgan’s memorial service took a shocking turn as Sonny brandished a gun and confessed he was responsible for his son’s death!
So make sure to mark your calendars accordingly and get ready for all the drama and excitement GH has planned for 2017!
