GENERAL HOSPITAL's Vanessa Marcil Previews Her New Movie, 'The Convenient Groom'

Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda, GENERAL HOSPITAL) stars as a relationship expert who can’t get her own love life together in the new Hallmark Channel movie, The Convenient Groom!

In the film, premiering on Saturday, June 18, at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel, Marcil plays Dr. Kate Lawrence, who uses her upcoming nuptials to a handsome businessman to advance her career. But when he calls off the wedding, Kate panics until an old high school friend steps in to pretend to be her fiancé. Will she discover true love in an unlikely place?

“It’s very funny,” Marcil tells Soaps In Depth of the film. “The fun factor has been really kind of what drew me to her and Lucas.”

She also says that she and co-star David Sutcliffe had terrific chemistry, which is important in a romantic comedy! “He’s the same kind of actor as I am,” Marcil confides, “which isn’t needed but it can be really fun.”
