Hang Out With Sonny & Sons!

This year’s GENERAL HOSPITAL Fan Club weekend — the World Series of fan events for the soap’s viewers — just got even better! Maurice Benard (Sonny), Bryan Craig (Morgan) and Chad Duell (Michael) have put their heads together and decided that rather than each hosting a separate fan gathering, they would join forces and make it one big happy family event — all three on one stage!

“We were all talking and realized, ‘What are we doing?'” Benard tells Soaps In Depth with a laugh. “If we have fun doing a show together, it’ll be fun for the fans, too.”

So on Saturday, August 8, it’s Sonny & Sons — the trio taking the stage at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Glendale, CA, at 4 p.m. PST (immediately following the main GHFC luncheon). “This is going to be awesome,” says Craig, who confirmed the news to In Depth while vacationing in Bali. “I’m thrilled to be doing an event with Big Papi and my uptight TV brother!”

The three close friends plan on making this the best event their fans have ever attended. “It’s a freakin’ fantastic idea,” says Duell, “and it’s going to be so much fun.”
