John Stamos Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL for a Visit — See All the Awesome Pics!

Tags:

A familiar face made an appearance at the GENERAL HOSPITAL studio when John Stamos paid a visit to the set of the soap that launched his career back in the ‘80s when he played the popular character of Blackie Parrish! “The studs of GH,” he posted to Instagram with a photo taken by photographer Jim Warren. “Visiting my old stomping grounds. Thanks for the hospitality, boys!” He also added the hashtag “#Blackieforever.”

Of course, because Stamos starred on GH from 1982-84, the only actor in these photos that he actually worked with at the time was Kin Shriner (Scotty), though he also spent time with newcomer Josh Swickard (Chase) as well as stars Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Steve Burton (Jason). Blackie was the foster child of Rick and Lesley Webber who sadly ended up in jail after admitting to his role in the accidental death of his girlfriend, Lou. But Blackie is probably best remembered by fans for being part of the band Blackie and the Riff Raff, where he played the drums!

Unfortunately for the GH fans who were sent into a tizzy of wild speculation when these photos hit social media, it’s unlikely that Stamos is returning to the soap that made him famous, even just for a brief appearance. But if he ever does, you can rest assured that we will let you know! Stamos is currently keeping busy being a first-time dad to his and wife Caitlin McHugh’s son, Billy.

Check out even more photos of Stamos’ visit to the GH set in the gallery below!
