OLTL’s Raines Joins Annie!

Tags:

The return of ONE LIFE TO LIVE may still be in limbo, but Ron Raines (Carl) has a new gig lined up: he’ll be taking over the role of Daddy Warbucks in the Broadway revival of Annie for the final weeks of the musical’s production! Raines — who was recently nominated for a Tony Award for his work in the musical Follies, and has three Daytime Emmy nominations under his belt for his run as GUIDING LIGHT’s Alan — makes his Annie debut on Tuesday, December 10, and will appear until the show’s final performance on Sunday, January 15, 2014.

“I’m excited to join this very talented company in one of my favorite shows,” the actor tells Soaps In Depth. “I love the story and I love the role of Daddy Warbucks. I can’t wait to play him. It’s the perfect holiday show for New York City.”

Annie is staged at the Palace Theater, 1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets. For tickets and more information, visit www.anniethemusical.com.
