ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Josh Casaubon Previews His Guest Appearance on YOUNG & HUNGRY

On ONE LIFE TO LIVE, hunky Hugh Hughes made quite an impression with his arguments as the assistant D.A. Now his portrayer, Josh Casaubon, is set to do that again on Freeform’s hip comedy, YOUNG & HUNGRY — only this time he might be doing it with knives!

“I [work] at a fancy restaurant,” the actor says of his guest role as handsome chef Hunter. “He’s a bit too good looking and maybe a bit too into himself and his ‘cheffery’ skills.” Might the guy in the snazzy white smock have what it takes to turn Gabi’s head and be a threat to her budding relationship with Josh? “It was an instant connection!” Casaubon previews. “So much chemistry, mutual respect, and passion.”

Alas, the performer says that his real-life kitchen talents wouldn’t nearly measure up. “I’m completely out of my element here. I do love my amateur-ish cooking though,” he laughs. “I can often be found at home inventing complicated dishes that are like, 4 out of 5 times delicious. Okay, maybe 2 or 3 out of 5… I don’t know — you’d have ask my wife!”

What Casaubon does know is that teaming up with Gabi’s portrayer, Emily Osment, was an experience that he wouldn’t mind repeating. “She’s a doll… so sweet and fun and welcoming. I’d love to work with her again,” he insists. “The whole team at YOUNG & HUNGRY was a pleasure.”

Tune in to Freeform to catch him in the episode titled “Young & First Date,” airing Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. EST. And for more on the stars of OLTL, keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
