The Evolution Of Dillon
In his desperation to win Lulu away from Dante, Dillon blew up his entire life. Now he’s lost the girl, the movie and his mojo. In the new issue of Soaps In Depth, portrayer Robert Palmer Watkins considers where his character can go from here.
“Dillon’s very up in the air,” Watkins teases. “He’s just not inspired to do the movie anymore, because it was basically about Lulu and now that’s all in shambles. We finally had a love scene and Lulu cut it off. If that story is over, I hope they let Dillon be single for a while. If he was that in love with Lulu, he needs some time to get over her… But at the same time, love stories are interesting!”
While Dillon “definitely feels guilty” about playing the sizzle reel that exposed Valerie and Dante’s affair, Watkins isn’t complaining. “It’s been a shift in his character,” he explains. “He’s no longer just the good guy, which I’m enjoying. You don’t just want to play the good guy, all the time. That gets boring, so I’m glad he was the one who did it. We’ll see what happens…”
