Daytime legend Susan Lucci (Erica, ALL MY CHILDREN) received a surprise birthday party courtesy of her husband, Helmut Huber, and her son, Andreas. And she was likely surprised because her actual birthday wasn’t for another three days, on Friday, Dec. 23!

“What an amazing surprise birthday party my fabulous husband and fabulous son gave me last night at 21,” Lucci shared on Instagram. “In the legendary hidden wine cellar!”
The wine cellar at 21 Club was the best-kept secret in New York City during prohibition with the room hidden behind a two-ton door meant to appear invisible when closed. Now it has been restored and can accommodate almost two dozen diners for special occasions. And Lucci’s family and friends packed the cozy space with love and birthday wishes!

Along with all the photos of the party, Lucci shared a short video on Instagram of the magical moment where she made a wish and blew out her candles.
It’s been a banner year for Lucci, with her son Andreas marrying Courtney Velasco in August, an event that the actress couldn’t resist sharing tons of photos of on social media!
Lucci admits she nearly fell over when she saw the room full of loved ones who yelled “Surprise!” She also reveals the special person in her life who wrote a touching poem in her honor, and how she couldn’t resist joining in when musicians appeared at the party!
