Ashley Jones Files for Divorce From Husband Joel Henricks

Tags:

Daytime actress Ashley Jones (ex-Parker, GENERAL HOSPITAL; ex-Bridget, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) has filed from divorce from her husband, Joel Henricks, citing mental and physical abuse. She reportedly filed on Sept. 6, just a week after being granted a restraining order from Henricks. According to court documents obtained by People, Jones says she and her son, Hayden, left their home on Aug. 17 as she was “afraid for my safety and the safety of our son.”

Jones and Henricks married in 2015 in a quiet courtroom wedding, and she gave birth to their son, Hayden, in May of 2016. Jones also became stepmother to Henricks’ son, Huck. “Joel was trying to get my cell phone from me because I was recording him being belligerent and threatening me and beginning to get physical,” she recounted in her statement of one incident. “I dropped the phone and Joel let me go. I left with Hayden, but Joel convinced me that he would not drink anymore, so eventually I went back.”

In the filing, Jones alleges that Henricks has a history of substance abuse and heavy drinking and even attempted suicide. After he accused Jones of cheating on him in their own home, she denied it and left him. On Aug. 18 she claims to have found a tracking device on her car and alleges that Henricks has continued to stalk and track her.

During all of this, Jones has attempted to remain positive, posting to her Instagram a photo of herself at the playground with her little boy. “Going through transitions and changes,” she admitted. “Hands down the hardest time of my life, bar none. My number one is this guy. When he is happy, I can do anything.”
