Daytime Emmys 2018 Younger Actress Nominee Reels

The Daytime Emmy Awards are coming up on Sunday, April 29, and as the big day nears, fans are eager to find out who will take home the trophy on the night. Votes are cast based on the reels that the actors submit, so selecting the right scenes is crucial to not only earning that nomination but having a chance to win the Emmy! Actors were able to submit up to four episodes, 20 minutes maximum each, for the final round of voting.

Now you have a chance to judge for yourself who delivered the best performance of the year in the Outstanding Younger Actress category by checking out these official Daytime Emmy reels from nominees Reign Edwards (Nicole, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), Hayley Erin (Kiki, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS), Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and Chloe Lanier (Nelle, GH).

Reign Edwards (Nicole, B&B)

Edwards started her reel with a brief scene between Nicole and her doctor discussing how she can’t have another baby after the one she gave up for adoption to her sister. The rest of it is the powerfully emotional confrontation with the entire Avant family as Julius urges Nicole to take Lizzie back, and Maya tearfully informing her sister she won’t fight her if that’s what she chooses. The reel even has a satisfying ending as Nicole makes her final decision.

Hayley Erin (Kiki, GH)

Erin’s reel begins with a devastated Kiki struggling with the reality of her mother clinging to life in the hospital burn unit followed by a scene where Kiki has a horrible realization about Ava and warning Sonny to protect Ava from her. Then we see her leaning on Dillon as she makes the decision to be there for her mom as she realizes that she still loves her no matter what she’s done.

Cait Fairbanks (Tessa, Y&R)

The first half of Fairbanks’ reel is the scene where Tessa moved out of Sharon’s place and said an awkward goodbye which sets up the back end where she reacts badly to Mariah’s confession of love, denying her own feelings and turning her down flat.

Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire, DAYS)

Keegan’s clips run the gamut of emotions, featuring her tearful breakup with Theo, angry fighting with Wyatt, lashing out at Jade for making a sex tape of her and Theo, and her roller coaster reaction when said tape is exposed!

Chloe Lanier (Nelle, GH)

Lanier’s reel starts with a bang with the angry confrontation between Carly and Nelle, followed by Nelle opening up to Michael about how her past turned her into the angry young woman she became. Then a more in-control Nelle stands up to Michael, Sonny, and Carly as she makes demands regarding the baby she’s carrying followed by another scene where she again opens up to Michael in the hopes of keeping him from leaving her.
