DEVIOUS MAIDS Gets A Second Chance!

ABC passed on the Marc Cherry-produced pilot DEVIOUS MAIDS — starring soap alumnas Susan Lucci (Erica, ALL MY CHILDREN) and Brianna Brown (ex-Lisa, GENERAL HOSPITAL) as two of the wealthy Beverly Hills employers — but Lifetime has given the series a second chance! The series will launch on the cable network in 2013, and La Lucci couldn’t be happier!

“[On Friday], I got off the plane in L.A. from New York, got in the car, checked my phone on the way to the hotel, and there was a message from my agent telling me that DEVIOUS MAIDS has been picked up by Lifetime and they plan to air starting in March,” Lucci told reporters in the press room at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday night. “I’m so thrilled to get to play that wonderful part that I already loved so much from the pilot, even from the table reads.”

According to Deadline, Lifetime will produce the show in Atlanta, even though the pilot was filmed in Los Angeles.
