Could trouble be on the horizon? Donna Mills is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Madeline Reeves for another stint, and there’s no telling what she’s going to stir up this time around! Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the actress will be reprising her role sometime in August for a brief stint.
Mills first joined GH back in March of 2014 as the mother of Nina Reeves and the mother of Nathan West. But it was later revealed that Madeline is the estranged sister of Dr. Leisl Obrecht, and then the truth came out that Obrecht was really Nathan’s mother and had asked her sister to raise him.
Madeline originally ran afoul of the law after confessing to poisoning Nina to kill her unborn child, but managed to avoid being convicted. Later, she also helped Nina kidnap Ava Jerome’s newborn baby, and threatened to reveal Nathan’s true paternity unless Obrecht agreed to testify on her behalf to keep her out of prison. After being used as a diversion for a prison break, Madeline schemed with Ric Lansing to get released and get her hands on the family fortune. Together the duo arranged for Ric to marry Nina and trick herself into committing herself to a mental institution.
But it was the revelation that Madeline had been the one to kill Dr. Silas Clay that finally landed her behind bars. Nina disowned her mother, who warned that she would return one day. And it looks like that day is finally coming. But will Madeline be walking free, or will someone be visiting her in prison? You’ll just have to keep watching to find out!
