Exclusive: GH’s Ochse Dishes On New Film Role

Remember when Alyshia Ochse (ex-Cassandra/Irina, GENERAL HOSPITAL) tweeted that she “loved waking up to good news” and included the hashtags “diablocody” and “bookingmovies”? Now, Soaps In Depth can exclusively share with our readers that the actress will begin production on the Juno writer’s latest film next week in New Orleans! The working title is Lamb Of God, and Cody will be directing a cast headlined by Russell Brand, Holly Hunter, Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and DANCING WITH THE STARS pro Julianne Hough. The film centers on a young evangelical woman who denounces God following a tragic plane crash that left her severely burned. Angry, she leaves her parents and church in Washington, D.C., and heads to Las Vegas in an attempt to re-discover herself.

“I’m shooting a great little part in Diablo Cody’s new film,” Ochse tells Soaps In Depth. “I feel honored to work with her on her directorial debut and to work with the new Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer and the comedic champion Russell Brand! I’m incredibly excited to be working on this project and even more thrilled that this is Diablo’s directing debut!”
