GENERAL HOSPITAL Casts Wes Ramsey in the Mysterious New Role of Peter August!

Tags:

You can tell it’s almost November Sweeps because GENERAL HOSPITAL is ramping up the drama — and the casting! Hot on the heels of the news that former Carly Tamara Braun would be returning in an entirely new role comes the announcement that daytime alum Wes Ramsey has been cast on the soap!

Our friends over at TV Line are reporting that Ramsey has been cast as Peter August and would first air on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Unfortunately, GH isn’t releasing any more information about the character or what storyline he’ll be tied into. Could he factor into the Two Jason tale, Nelle’s shady past, or something else entirely?

Daytime fans are already familiar with Ramsey’s work from his time on GUIDING LIGHT as Sam and as Owen on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. And GH fans are familiar with the handsome actor because earlier this year he and Laura Wright (Carly) went public with their relationship!

Ramsey has also appeared in primetime with roles on THE PLAYBOY CLUB and CSI: MIAMI, and many still remember him from his turn as the older version of Piper and Leo’s son, Wyatt Halliwell, on CHARMED! And most recently, the actor could be seen playing Van in VENICE THE SERIES, the web soap created by his former GL sister, Crystal Chappell (Olivia).

The question of who Peter August is and which storyline in Port Charles he’ll factor into remain a mystery, so you’ll have to stay tuned to find out just who Ramsey will be playing and how long he’ll be sticking around GH!
