Get ready for some new music from a GENERAL HOSPITAL star! Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky) has a brand new album coming out later this year! "I'm really excited to share with you all of the music that we have been quietly making over the last couple of years," he announced on Instagram. "Our new Jonathan Jackson + Enation album, Ultraviolet Empire, is coming out this fall!"
Enation is an "alternative post-punk three-piece" band made up of Jackson on vocals, guitar, and piano with his brother Richard Lee Jackson on drums, percussion, and backing vocals along with Jonathan Thatcher on bass and bass synth. The group has released numerous albums since they formed in 2003, their most recent, Anthems for the Apocalypse, in 2017. In 2018, they toured the U.K., supporting Echo & The Bunnymen. "There are some moments that stay with you," Jackson mused. "Performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London is one of them."
Jackson can't wait for fans to hear their new music because he feels it's something really special. "Our new album, Ultraviolet Empire, is a throwback record," he explained. "It's a record we played together live in the studio. Most of the songs are one take — just letting the band play. It was amazing playing with our co-producer Colin Linden and capturing something so raw and visceral."
With the new record due out in the fall, we'll be sure to update you as Jackson releases more information about it, including a release date. We can't wait to hear it! So stay tuned, and for more on your favorite GH stars — past and present — keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth magazine.
