Award-winning actress Kimberly McCullough, who rose to fame playing Robin on GENERAL HOSPITAL, has now moved behind the camera and found just as much success as a director! Her latest project is helming an episode of ABC sitcom THE CONNORS. “Yup,” she shared on Instagram with a photo of the series’ kitchen set. Of course, as she's only just now shooting her episode, don't look for it to air for a while. But of course, we'll keep you informed as soon as there's an air date scheduled so you can tune in!
The week before, McCullough was busy directing an episode of the new FOX sitcom THE COOL KIDS. “Next up!” she teased with a shot of the studio. “Excited about this one.” The sitcom, which stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan as a group of friends at a retirement community who have wild and crazy adventures, premiered this fall on FOX and McCullough's episode is slated to air on Friday, March 15.
Although McCullough continues to reprise her role of Robin on GH periodically, she has really turned her focus to producing and directing. She began by helming episodes of Disney shows SHAKE IT UP and K.C. UNDERCOVER, then moved on to direct a couple episodes of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. 2018 has been a big year for McCullough as she has directed episodes of ONE DAY AT A TIME, YOUTH & CONSEQUENCES, ALL ABOUT THE WASHINGTONS, and FULLER HOUSE.
So be sure to keep an eye out on the credits when you’re watching TV from now on, because you never know when McCullough’s name might flash by! Just don’t expect to see it on the credits of an episode of GH because as she told Soaps In Depth in the past, “they move so quickly. It’s really hard what these guys have to do!”
