As Kristina Davis on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Lexi Ainsworth has earned a legion of devoted followers who love to see her on screen and complain when she’s not. So those fans can take heart that they will be able to see the talented actress in primetime very soon! “Excited to be a part of MAJOR CRIMES for a few episodes,” Ainsworth shared on Instagram. “It’s been such a fun experience. Can’t wait to tell you guys more about it!”
MAJOR CRIMES is a police procedural spinoff series from THE CLOSER that airs on TNT. It stars Mary McDonnell as Commander Sharon Raydor, head of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes Division. The series premiered in 2012, and its sixth and final season is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 31. At this point, there are no details regarding Ainsworth’s character or how many episodes of this season she’ll be appearing in, but as soon as the actress decides to break her silence, you’d better believe we’ll be the first to let you know!
Ainsworth joined the cast of GH in 2009 when Kristina was SORASed into a teenager and was put on contract soon after her debut. Although she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2011, Ainsworth was also let go from the soap later that year. In 2012, Lindsey Morgan took over the role, but only lasted a year. (Morgan can now be seen as a series regular on THE 100 over on The CW.) In 2015, Ainsworth reprised her role, and in 2017, was Emmy-nominated again, this time taking home the trophy for Outstanding Younger Actress!
