It’s the Maurice Benard/Eric Braeden Mashup You Didn’t Know You Needed!
Fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Maurice Benard (Sonny) are probably already aware of the actor’s obsession with making ridiculous Snapchat videos — and if you’re not you really need to check out his funniest clips — but now he’s made what could be his most iconic one yet. Benard combined his face with that of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Eric Braeden (Victor) to create the ultimate daytime star! “Hi, it’s Eric Benard from ‘The Young and The Hospital,’” he joked. “Yes, I think Maurice Benard is an incredible actor. Handsome, sexy… the whole thing.”
Benard and Braeden are two daytime legends who may star on two separate soaps, but the pair have crossed paths before. Back in March of 2017, the actors shared a “power dinner” with each other at the invitation of GH fan Stephen A. Smith, who has made multiple appearances on his favorite soap as Sonny’s tech expert, Brick.
Now, while gene splicing technology isn’t advanced enough to actually create “Eric Benard,” soap fans can now get an idea of what such a mash-up would look like! Although seriously, how amazing would it be to see Benard and Braeden acting opposite each other in either GH or Y&R? Or even a movie or primetime TV series? The mind boggles!
