Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Maurice Benard (Sonny) and his beautiful wife, Paula, who celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11! “What happens when a young girl from Texas who lived a tumultuous life meets a low-riding bad boy from Martinez,” the actor shared on Instagram with a vintage pic of the couple in a romantic moment. “29 years of a beautiful life… Happy Anniversary, Paula.”

Paula also shared a montage of pics both recent and classic of her and her man from their 34 yeras together along with her own special anniversary message. “I love you honey, but you posted on my post,” Benard joked in the comments. “But that’s alright, I forgive you.”

“Today I think of the day I married a man who changed my life in so many ways,” she wrote. “Who brought me from darkness to light, and from pain to happiness. He gave me a family and together we learned what that truly means. I am forever grateful to you, honey. I love you always and forever!”
