GENERAL HOSPITAL Star Michelle Stafford Says Goodbye to “Little Brother” Ryan Paevey

Tags:

Nathan may be gone from GENERAL HOSPITAL, but he will not soon be forgotten. And the same can be said for actor Ryan Paevey. While many GH stars have already shared heartfelt goodbyes to their departing co-star, his on-screen sister, Michelle Stafford, penned some absolutely beautiful words following the airing of his final episode. Fans were moved to tears by Nathan’s powerfully emotional funeral, and so were the actors involved in filming it.

“Damn,” Stafford shared on Instagram. “That show was sad. I was honored to be a part of such a beautiful homage to our first responders, our men and women in blue. I hope we made (any of you who give service to the community and the families of those) proud. I read some comments and they touched me deeply. What an honor to be an actor and be able to make people ‘feel’.”

Damn… that show was sad. I was honored to be a part of such a beautiful homage to our first responders, our men and women in blue. I hope we made (any of you who give service to the community and the families of those) proud. I read some comments and they touched me deeply. What an honor to be an actor and be able to make people “feel”. But this guy 👆🏻 @ryanpaevey what can I say but I truly love you baby. It wasn’t hard to play all those scenes because I was really very sad at the thought of not having you around anymore. You brought reality to me there. And fun! You know that. You were a real little brother to me. And still are and always will be. I love this shot of you as it captures a bit who you are. Something true and bold is about to be spoken by you… and I’m laughing cuz I know it. You are gonna get everything you want…so choose wisely. Thank you for getting me breakfast at work. Thank you for being so kind to me on my first days there! You are gonna do great things. But remember ALWAYS have fun… I know you will! Go SOAR!! I love you my little brother!! #GH

Then she turned the topic to Paevey and how difficult it was to say farewell to her TV sibling. “What can I say but I truly love you, baby,” Stafford declared. “It wasn’t hard to play all those scenes because I was really very sad at the thought of not having you around anymore. You brought reality to me there. And fun! You know that. You were a real little brother to me. And still are and always will be. I love this shot of you as it captures a bit who you are. Something true and bold is about to be spoken by you, and I’m laughing because I know it.

“You are gonna get everything you want, so choose wisely,” she concluded. “Thank you for getting me breakfast at work. Thank you for being so kind to me on my first days there! You are gonna do great things. But remember, always have fun… I know you will! Go soar! I love you, my little brother!”

If you have some tissues handy, you can check out some of Stafford’s brilliant work in the Feb. 9 episode in this clip of Nina’s eulogy for her baby brother.

While everyone has wished Paevey well in the future, many still hope that a storyline twist could still bring him back to GH again someday. And since Paevey himself has hinted that ghostly visits aren’t out of the question, they may get their wish, even if only for a short time!
