Morgan's Emotional Memorial on General Hospital

On the second anniversary of the death of Morgan Corinthos, his family and friends came together to pay their respects in the Oct. 8 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, culminating in a powerful scene set to a lovely song titled “Another Angel” by Michael Kisur. He has composed many Emmy-winning songs for daytime, and you can see some of them on his YouTube page. Unfortunately, this particular song isn’t yet available for purchase or streaming on the usual services, but you can download it for free at this link provited by Kisur himself!

Joining the family at Perk’s, Jason lamented that he only knew Morgan as a boy and he wasn’t around to watch him grow into a man. Carly joked that Morgan would’ve driven Jason crazy, and Sonny promised he would’ve been proud of the young man. “But you know what?” Sonny added. “We’re not here to mourn the time we lost with Morgan. We’re here to celebrate the time we had together.”

An impatient Avery asked her daddy if they could start now, but Sonny admitted not everyone was there yet. In the background, a beautiful voice sang to an acoustic guitar: “It’s gonna be alright, someday sometime. I’ve got to remember, heaven’s got another angel now.” Kiki gave her baby sister a big hug, Sam arrived and exchanged a glance with Jason before hugging her way across the room to him and slipping her hand into Jason’s. With Lulu trailing behind her, Laura walked into the gathering and shared a warm embrace with Sonny.

The music continued over images of Morgan’s loved ones sharing memories, tears, and hugs. Then, Sonny and Carly exchanged meaningful looks with each other and the group set three paper lanterns floating off into the night sky in memory of the young man’s untimely passing.
