Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily), who gave birth to her first child, a little baby girl named Colette! “Today our lives were graced by the arrival of our beautiful little girl Colette Allegria Ginny-Martita Aldag,” she shared on Instagram on Sept. 7. “Happy tears are flowing. Little feet are swaddling. Hearts are bursting!”
Livingston is beloved to soap fans for playing the role of the ill-fated Emily Quartermaine on GH. Viewers were devastated when the character was killed off in 2009, and a couple of minor appearances as a ghost weren’t enough for many of them. In 2011, she returned to daytime for a brief run as Taylor Walker on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. While continuing to act, she has also created the Natalia Livingston Actor Boutique to help other performers realize their dreams of breaking into show business.
The actress married neuroscientist and scientific author Matt Aldag on Sept. 3, 2016, and the couple celebrated Valentine’s Day 2018 by announcing that they were expecting a new addition to the family! “Basking in the excitement of our little miracle!” Livingston declared. And little Colette arrived right on time in September as scheduled! In fact, the pair spent their second anniversary preparing for the arrival of their bundle of joy.
“It takes a real man to wear a pink baby hat while hanging a little yellow chicken on the wall,” Livingston joked. “I can’t think of a better way to spend our two year wedding anniversary than getting ready for our little girl. Grateful for each and every day with my amazing husband, Matt, who fills our life together with so much joy, laughter and love!”
