Rebecca Budig Returns to General Hospital!

Fans will be thrilled to learn that Rebecca Budig is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL! Her character of Hayden has been mentioned occasionally since she’s been gone, and now she’s finally coming back to Port Charles in person! Entertainment Weekly broke the news, but unfortunately GH is remaining extremely tight-lipped about details, so we still don’t know when Budig will first air or what kind of storyline she’ll be dropped into.

Budig first appeared on GH back in March of 2015 as the woman claiming to be the wife of Jake Doe (later revealed to be Jason Morgan and after that, actually Drew Cain — it’s complicated!), and fell into a coma after being shot in the head. But when she woke up, Hayden was given some backstory and a new relationship with Dr. Hamilton Finn. Unfortunately, in September of 2017, Hayden left town before tying the knot with Finn, and while she claimed she’d lost the baby, was still very clearly pregnant with his child.

Since Hayden’s departure, Finn has finally moved on with Anna, and with him about to pop the question, it’s the perfect time for his ex to come waltzing back into his life — and with their baby in her arms, too! So you’re definitely going to want to stay tuned to see what happens next.
