Primetime sudser DYNASTY has nabbed another GENERAL HOSPITAL alum for a role! Actor Rick Hearst (ex-Ric) announced on Instagram: “Booked a nice role on the CW reboot of DYNASTY.” The series, which airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW, was recently picked up for a full season, and according to Hearst’s Instagram photo, his script is for episode 12.
On Twitter, the actor used the hashtag #SenatorDaniels, giving a hint at his character, and later shared a photo of himself in costume from his dressing room. “My most challenging role yet,” he joked. “A conservative Republican.”
Anyone watching DYNASTY will know that this is not the first GH alum to make an appearance on the primetime soap. Brianna Brown has a recurring role as Claudia Blaisdel, a mentally unstable woman seeking revenge on the Carrington family for the death of her beloved husband Matthew. And Elena Tovar (ex-Rosalie) made a brief appearance as Cristal’s sister, Iris, in the third episode, and will likely be seen again as the season unfolds.
Unfortunately, there are no details yet on Hearst’s character aside from the fact that he’s a Republican senator. And while there is no air date scheduled yet for episode 12, since episode 10 airs Wednesday, Dec. 13, it’s likely Hearst’s episode will air when the series returns after the holidays, likely in January.
