He played one of Port Charles' most notorious villains, but it looks like Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry, GENERAL HOSPITAL) will be playing a good guy when he joins the cast of BATWOMAN in the recurring role of Dr. Campbell. "Headed to Gotham," the actor teased on Instagram when the news broke. According to Deadline, the character is one of Gotham City's most well-respected plastic surgeons and philanthropists. Of course, in a place like Gotham, who knows what Dr. Campbell's true motives might be?
This is a return to the CW for Roché, who portrayed Mikael Mikaelson on both THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and its spin-off, THE ORIGINALS. But of course, soap fans remember him best as the devious Jerry Jacks on GH, a role he began playing in 2007. Roché was last seen in Port Charles back in 2015 and has made quite a career for himself since, appearing in primetime series like THE YOUNG POPE, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, and GENIUS. He's also starring alongside Ryan Reynolds in the new Michael Bay film, 6 Underground, which premieres on Netflix in December.
BATWOMAN airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW, and premiered on Oct. 6. It tells the story of Bruce Wayne's cousin, Kate Kane, played by Ruby Rose, who returns to Gotham City and decides to fight crime in Batman's absence. There has been no information released as to when Roché will be making his first appearance in the series, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as details are announced, so keep checking back!
