Congratulations to TK Weaver, who has been nominated for Recurring Young Actor in the 2018 Young Artist Awards for his work as Danny Morgan on GENERAL HOSPITAL! “Thanks to Young Artist Awards for the nomination!” the young star tweeted. “My first ever award show!”
Weaver made his debut as Sam and Jason’s little boy in May of 2016, and although he’s only appeared in a couple dozen episodes over the past two years, he has made quite an impression. Both with GH fans, who love his portrayal of Danny, as well as with those whose job it is to nominate talented young performers for awards!

The Young Artist Awards were established back in 1978 to honor young talent in film and television. Weaver joins some impressive company, as recent GH actors up for these awards include Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma) and Joey Luthman (young Luke Spencer). The competition has become stronger in recent years because in 2015, they dropped the Daytime TV Series category so now the young soap stars are up against fellow child actors in primetime and syndicated series as well.
The 39th Annual Young Artist Awards will be held on July 14 on Saturday, July 14, so come back then to find out if Weaver takes home the trophy. And all the best of luck to him on the big night!
