GENERAL HOSPITAL’s TK Weaver Wins Young Artist Award — See All the Pics From His Unforgettable Night!

Tags:

Congratulations to TK Weaver, who has won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance by a Recurring Young Actor in a TV Series for his work as Danny Morgan on GENERAL HOSPITAL! “We won!” he declared on Twitter. “We won for GH! Huge win for daytime television kids and daytime TV as a whole. Thank you all for your love, positivity and support.”

On July 14, the day of the awards ceremony, the young actor admitted he wasn’t expecting to take home a trophy. “Honestly don’t expect to win over these roles on what I assume are primetime shows,” Weaver tweeted, “but I’d love to see a daytime television star take the award. Daytime television rocks and I’d like to see it get more recognition.”

Weaver was also nominated for his performance in a Subaru Impreza commercial, but it was his impressive performances as Danny on GH that earned him the big prize. “Such a positive experience,” he shared on Instagram. “We had no idea what we were doing. So many young stars with their publicists and VIP status. Me and my dad were lost. We didn’t even know how to vote. The win for my work on GH with Steve Burton (Jason), Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Billy Miller (Drew) was a complete shock and such an honor for a daytime recurring actor. Of course, I have the amazing actors mentioned above to help guide me on set.”

Weaver also shared a bunch of photos chronicling his exciting night at the awards with his father, from riding to the ceremony to walking the red carpet to holding his prize and everything in between! Check them out in the gallery below!
