GENERAL HOSPITAL Vets Share a Special Lunch With Stuart Damon
It was a very special reunion when a bunch of GENERAL HOSPITAL vets got together to have lunch, catch up, and enjoy themselves. Kin Shriner (Scotty), Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie), Wally Kurth (Ned), and Leslie Charleson (Monica) were joined by dear friend and former castmate Stuart Damon (ex-Alan) for food and drinks at the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas, CA. “Here we are all together for a fab lunch,” exclaimed Zeman. “Billy Warlock (ex-A.J.) called to join us, too!” She captured some video of Shriner holding up his phone so everyone at the table could get in on the conversation.
“Lunch today with GH pals to see Stuart Damon!” Shriner shared on Twitter with a group photo. “Even got Billy Warlock on FaceTime. Leslie Charleson drove!” Zeman also shared a quick video where she panned around the venue to give fans a glimpse of where they were lunching. “Sagebrush Cantina remains a favorite,” she declared. “So many good times here with dear friends.”
Zeman shared her own version of the group photo, calling it a “lovely lunch with my GH pals. Oh what a treat!” And in the comments, Tamara Braun (Kim) responded: “Oh what a treat, indeed! I miss Stuart so much.”
Damon originated the role of Alan Quartermaine back in 1977 and played the beloved character until he was killed off in 2007. Since then, the actor has made a handful of ghostly appearances, the last being in April of 2013 for GH’s 50th anniversary. So Damon was still playing a very much alive Alan during Braun’s stint as Carly from 2001-05!

So even though GH fans don’t get to see Monica and Alan together on screen anymore, it’s wonderful to know that Charleson and Damon still get together in real life every now and then.
