Georgie has returned to GENERAL HOSPITAL for another visit, leading some fans to wonder if that’s Kirsten Storms’ real-life daughter playing her TV daughter. But while that was true in the beginning of this character’s life, the little girl is now being played by child actress Lily Fisher! But that confusion is nothing compared to Georgie’s origin!
When Georgie was born in August 2013, Maxie was acting as a surrogate for her best friend, Lulu, who was unable to carry her own child with husband Dante Falconeri. But what she hadn’t told her pal was that she had miscarried their baby and then got pregnant with her own after a one-night stand with Damian Spinelli! This led to a vicious custody battle where Dante and Lulu fought Maxie and Spinelli for the little girl. In the end, the judge awarded full custody to Spinelli, and Maxie was forbidden to see her own daughter. Thankfully, the following year, Maxie’s case was revisited and she was finally granted visitation rights to Georgie, who currently resides with Spinelli and Ellie Trout in Seattle.

As a toddler, Georgie was played by Harper Barash, Kirsten Storms’ real-life daughter with ex-husband Brandon Barash. The actress was able to act opposite her own little girl in scenes throughout 2015. However, in 2017, just in time for Maxie’s wedding to Nathan, the role was recast with Lily Fisher. And then in the March 29, 2018, episode, Spinelli brought Georgie back to Port Charles for another visit to help cheer up Maxie, who has been mourning the loss of her husband.
Since Maxie is currently expecting Nathan’s child, it’s unlikely she would pursue custody of Georgie no matter how much she loves her little girl. Which means that Georgie will still probably only make sporadic appearances for special occasions. Whether Fisher will continue to play Georgie in future appearances remains to be seen. With the way soaps work, the kid could get hit by a cast of SORAS and come back the next time as a teenager!
