Best wishes to GENERAL HOSPITAL actor Bradford Anderson who is celebrating his birthday today! While viewers might not see Spinelli as much as they might like these days, his portrayer remains a fan favorite!
Anderson grew up in New Hampshire, where he got involved in acting at a young age, performing on stage in local theatrical productions as a kid. After attending the Tisch School of Performing Arts at New York University, then moved to Los Angeles in 2005 to break into Hollywood, landing a recurring role on VERONICA MARS. The following year, he was cast on GH as the irrepressible Damian Spinelli. Although originally intended to be a recurring role, Spinelli proved so popular with audiences that Anderson was signed to a contract in 2007. Over the years, he earned five Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his performances.
Spinelli was written off the soap in late 2013 along with Emily Wilson’s Ellie, but Anderson remained on recurring status with GH, so Spinelli has popped back into Port Charles numerous times over the subsequent years for appearances. (Well, except for that one time when he looked strangely like that actor from DAYS OF OUR LIVES…)
Outside of daytime, Anderson has made appearances in primetime series like NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, CASTLE, MINORITY REPORT, and HOMELAND. In real life, Anderson married his wife, Kiera, in 2010, and they have two beautiful daughters: seven-year-old Juna and four-year-old Finola.
