Best wishes to daytime star Jon Lindstrom, who celebrates his birthday today! After roles on SANTA BARBARA (as Mark McCormick) and GENERATIONS (as Paul Jarre), the actor became infamous to daytime audiences when he joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Ryan Chamberlain in 1992. In 1993, he began playing the demented serial killer’s identical twin, Dr. Kevin Collins, a double role which lasted for a couple years until Ryan’s demise, after which he continued playing the psychiatrist.
In 1997, Lindstrom crossed Kevin over to GH spin-off PORT CHARLES, where he remained until the soap’s cancellation in 2003. He did make a brief visit to GH again in 2004 along with Lynn Herring's Lucy Coe to attend the funeral of the beloved Lila Quartermaine.
In 2008, the actor joined AS THE WORLD TURNS as a recast of Craig Montgomery, a role he played until that show’s last episode in 2010, earning himself a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in that final year. In 2013, Lindstrom returned to Port Charles, making recurring appearances as Kevin once more. And in 2018, he reprised the role of the evil Ryan, who turned out not to be as dead as everyone had thought he was!
Lindstrom has also made numerous appearances in primetime in shows like NCIS, DROP DEAD DIVA, BLUE BLOODS, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, and TRUE DETECTIVE. He has also expanded his skills behind the camera, writing and directing projects like the film How We Got Away With It. Musically inclined, the actor was also a member of the band The High Lonesome. He also married his ATWT co-star Cady McClain (Rosanne; Dixie, ALL MY CHILDREN) in 2014.
