Laura Wright (Carly, GENERAL HOSPITAL) shared some heartfelt words for her son, John, on the momentous occasion of his 16th birthday that all parents can relate to. “It happens so fast!” she posted with a photo montage showing just how much her little boy has grown.

“This Rock Star blessed our lives 16 years ago today!” Wright shared in a second post. “Happy happy 16 my little man! (six feet tall so far!) You make me laugh and smile — I just adore you — and I know you’ll love that I posted this!”

We’re sure that John appreciates his mother’s love and her beautiful words to him on his big day — but probably not that she did it in public on social media! He is a teenaged boy, after all!
And now that John is 16, Wright is enduring what many parents must when their kids become teenagers — being in the car while they’re learning to drive! “Oh Lord!” she shared just a few months ago. “John is driving! Ha! Super fun!”
We’re confident the actress will survive, as she already went through it with her older daughter, Lauren who recently turned 18. And back in the middle of November, Wright celebrated her daughter becoming an adult with a weekend camping trip — and mother/daughter tattoos! We’ll just have to wait and see how she plans to mark her son’s big day!
