Injured Monaco Still Thrills!

On last night’s DANCING WITH THE STARS, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Kelly Monaco (Sam) performed a fusion of foxtrot and cha cha, earning rave reviews from the judges despite suffering a terrible fall in rehearsals. “I finally had my ribs put back into place,” Monaco revealed after the show. “I had two ribs that were splintered out. I couldn’t breathe. I was literally holding back tears for three hours in the rehearsal.”

Dancing with an injury would be bad enough, but in this round, Monaco and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy had to combine two styles… not that the actress minded one bit! “It was awesome,” she enthused. “It was so fun.” Added Chmerkovskiy: “It came really effortlessly. This week was one of my favorite weeks. I loved it.”
