“It’s Just Sex” For One Of Sonny’s Old Flames!

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans will remember Dahlia Salem as Claire, the federal prosecutor who first tried to send Sonny to jail for murder only to end up (surprise, surprise!) falling for the mobster. But now, Los Angeles-area fans can see the actress dealing with some very different relationship issues in the play It’s Just Sex.

“The play is a comedy, which is always good and fun,” Salem tells Soaps In Depth. “It’s about six friends — all couples — who get together and something goes very askew on the night they meet up.” There’s no special occasion that draws the pals together. “They just haven’t seen each other in a long time. They’ve been busy with kids and work and they all let loose when they get together while having some drinks and getting a bite.”

Salem’s character and her husband appear to be a content enough pair — but are they? “We do sound like a happy couple,” the actress laughs. “Lisa definitely wears the pants in their relationship, which is fun to play.”

Treading the boards again has been adventurous to say the least! “I haven’t been on stage in 15 years,” Salem says. “I’m really returning to my roots. Theater is where I got my training and where it all started for me. It’s exhilarating and you have to be on your toes and be in the moment.”

It’s Just Sex is set to run at The Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood through Sunday, November 2. For more information on the show and to order tickets visit the play’s Web site.
