ABC will "neither confirm or deny" that Jonathan Jackson is exiting as GENERAL HOSPITAL's Lucky, but expect the popular actor to indeed exit the canvas possibly as soon as late December.
A fan favorite from the time he was a tween on the soap in the '90s, Jackson is scheduled to complete taping at GH soon. His co-stars -- still stunned by the news that he's decided to leave -- are saying that they hope for a last-minute change of plans. Might GH make it worth Jackson's while to stay in Port Charles before he clears out his dressing room? Let's hope so!
Jackson returned to the soap in the latter part of 2009, 12 years after he'd first left Port Charles. The multiple Emmy winner even added another gold statuette to his collection this past June when he received his first win as Outstanding Supporting Actor for his work in scenes when Lucky confronts Elizabeth and Nikolas over their affair.
