Kelly Sullivan Previews Her New Movie, ‘Til Ex Do Us Part’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Fans of Kelly Sullivan who miss seeing her as Connie on GENERAL HOSPITAL or Sage on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS can watch the actress starring in the new Lifetime thriller, Til Ex Do Us Part, premiering Sunday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.! “There is so much action that takes place over the course of an hour and a half,” she teased to Soaps In Depth. “It’s full of twists and turns!”

Sullivan plays Sophia, an award-winning architect who is in the process of reconciling with her husband Kyle (played by GOOD WITCH star Dan Payne) when Claire (played by ALTERED CARBON’s Anna Van Hooft) shows up to spoil things. Claire had a one-night stand with Kyle during the breakup and accuses Sophia of assaulting her. When this doesn’t work, she also claims to be pregnant, and things quickly escalate in increasingly deadly ways!

“All of a sudden, the fight choreographer comes in with the stunt guy and starts showing us all of these cool things like how to look super cool while you’re wrestling with a gun,” Sullivan gleefully recalled of shooting a fight scene in the film. “It’s so much fun. In real life, you don’t get to do all that stuff very often, right?”

Although Sullivan has been cast once again as a beleaguered heroine, don’t expect Sophia to be a victim in this movie. “Like, who wants to sit and watch a victim for an hour and a half?” she mused. “You can sit there and feel sorry for yourself which is just kind of a way to manipulate the audience to feel sorry for you or you can choose to do what human beings do in real life which is find strength somewhere and go forward and push past all the pain. Which is what I’m interested in watching.”

When Sullivan got the call about this movie, she was eager to do it for three reasons, the first being that she already knew the director. “Danny Boyle and I are really great friends,” she explained. “I worked with him on the first Lifetime movie I ever did. Number two, I liked the script, and I knew I would have a lot of flexibility to work with the writer and Danny. And then my parents live like, 30 minutes from Vancouver, so I knew that I was going to be able to see them [while filming]! I was really looking forward to doing it and I had an amazing time there.”
