Maurice Benard’s GENERAL HOSPITAL Anniversary — See the Amazing Party Pics!
When Maurice Benard celebrated his 25th anniversary of playing Sonny Corinthos on GENERAL HOSPITAL, the show made sure to throw a massive surprise party with the cast and crew right there on set to commemorate the daytime star’s milestone.

As Benard is an avid boxer, GH chose a boxing theme for the party, having T-shirts made up with boxing gloves that read “Maurice 25 Strong” on them. (And there are countless fans who would simply love to get their hands on one of them for themselves!) There were also two cakes decorated with the boxing gloves, one in icing and one with plastic.
Co-stars like Steve Burton (Jason), Laura Wright (Carly), and Tamara Braun (Kim) were on hand to help celebrate (and eat that delicious-looking cake!), and Benard also had his family around him to support his accomplishment, including his wife, kids, and parents!
