ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Eddie Alderson and Robert S. Woods Reunite — See the Fantastic Photo!
Fans of ONE LIFE TO LIVE were overjoyed when Eddie Alderson (Matthew) revealed that he had finished his final chemotherapy treatment for his lymphoma cancer, and more recently, they were absolutely thrilled by a photo the young actor shared of a reunion he had with OLTL co-star Robert S. Woods (Bo)!
“Incredible reunion weekend with my second family,” Alderson shared on Instagram with the photo of himself at Wood’s home in upstate New York with the actor’s wife Loyita Chapel and their son, Tanner.

Alderson joined the cast of OLTL as Matthew Buchanan, son of supercouple Bo and Nora in 2001. Although the character had been born on-screen in 1999, Matthew was rapidly aged just a couple years later when Alderson was brought in. After seven years appearing on a recurring basis, Alderson signed a contract with the soap in 2008 and remained until OLTL’s cancelation in 2012. Unfortunately, because the young actor had moved to Los Angeles with his sister, Kristen Alderson (Starr; ex-Kiki, GENERAL HOSPITAL) after the show went off the air, he was not available to co-star opposite Woods again in the short-lived online version of OLTL from The Online Network, and the role was recast with Robert Gorrie.
It’s wonderful to see that Alderson and his TV dad have kept in touch over the years, and it’s even better to see them together again! Now if only Hillary B. Smith (Nora) could’ve been part of the day then we would’ve had a full-on family reunion!
