ONE LIFE TO LIVE Star Erika Slezak Returns to Primetime

Tags:

For soap fans who miss seeing the talented Erika Slezak on their televisions every day as ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Viki, they can look forward to another stellar performance from the actress when she makes a guest appearance on the CBS primetime series BLUE BLOODS! The episode, titled “Identity,” is scheduled to air on Friday, May 3, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

“I worked with Len Cariou, who plays retired NYC Commissioner Henry Reagan on the series and Tana Sirois, a wonderful young actress and a dream to work with,” Slezak said on her site. “Tana plays my granddaughter (not a regular series character). It was a long but wonderful day and the entire crew, director John Behring, and the writer, Daniel Truly, were all so terrific and easy and helpful. It was as if I had been back with our lovely people at OLTL, the best ever.”

Slezak first found fame as Victoria “Viki” Lord Riley on OLTL when she joined the soap back in 1971. In her over four decades in the role, she earned nine Daytime Emmy Award nominations and took home the trophy six times, a record for a female performer. Following OLTL’s 2011 cancelation, Slezak returned with some of her castmates for the short-lived online revival in 2013.

Slezak returned to television with a role as Dr. Eileen Jacoby in a 2018 episode of THE RESIDENT, and is featured in Jeff Daniels’ new independent film, Guest Artist, where she plays his agent, Helen. The movie premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February, but a release date has not been announced.
